El Rodeo in Richmond

This place always reeks of cleaning chemicals. Last time we went we left before we got drinks because the odors were so strong our eyes were burning.

Food was way over cooked, salsa was nasty, tea was so nasty I could not drink it. Tortillas were dry and crispy and couldn’t even eat it. Would not recommend to anyone

Been eating here for years. Some of the most delicious Mexican dishes I've had in this area. This time I tried the Burrito Preferido which became my favorite as soon as I took my first bite!

El Rodeo east side is one of my favorite restaurants in town. They remember me each time I go there and even know my favorite meal. Very friendly and clean atmosphere.

Not precisely perfect but really tasty. Sometimes the food is better than other days. I had tamales which barely had any filling, but fortunately I like Masa. Staff is great. Place is clean. Wide selection and daily specials, although I had to correct the price of my special at the register.

I ordered a taco salad without the bowl. While it was delicious, it was more of a snack. There was hardly any lettuce. When in the bowl, there is much more. But barely anything on my plate without the bowl. Disappointed and came home and fixed something to eat. Almost impossible to eat low carb there.

Great food, great service. We shared Cheese dip and guacamole dip for appetizers. The guac was SO fresh, with chunks of avocado. I had chili rellenos and they were also very fresh and delicious. I am told that the Shrimp Diablo and steak burrito was excellent as well. Everything was served quickly and with a smile. I don't know when we will be back in town for another visit, but highly recommend the food for its quality and value.

We had a great meal the service was fantastic as usual but this was an exceptional night we came in with a party of 11 one hour before closing time. The staff even stayed over so that we could enjoy our meal. We couldn't have asked for a better time. Food was hot and ready the staff took care of the kids (teens) well their drinks never got empty. Keep up the good work.

It is your typical Mexican food with extremely fast food, hot and delicious. Place could use a sprucing-up, but you can get exact same food with a nicer atmosphere at the other El Rodeo on the East side. They do sometimes mess up your carry-out as well as your check, just be careful!

Fun environment, Delicious Mexican cuisine, & a fantastic wait staff that is fast & upbeat! Always the Perfect place for any gathering, and the Margaritas are Theeee Best!!!😍

We love the good food and the service

"El Ro" is a fairly standard, no-frills, Mexican restaurant. The food is tasty and you can reliably get in and out during your lunch-hour. They quality and service is consistent with what you would expect at most restaurants like this across the country - not stellar, but completely fine.

Ordered food to-go over phone. Very pleasant & professional doing so. Gave me a 15min wait time. Picked up food in timely manner. Was as ordered & delicious! Although next time I will definitely order extra chips w/salsa when ordering to-go... salsa was amazing as well!! Employee's were cleaning in between taking care of guests as i was cashing out my to-go order. Dining room was 3/4 full for a weekday night surprisingly. From observation, customers seem like they were happy & well taken care of by staff. No complaints! Keep up the good work staff!!

El Rodeo is probably the best Mexican restaurant in this area! I moved here from San Diego, home of the best authentic Mexican food! At El Rodeo, the food is very good and the service is excellent! Everyone is very friendly! I would recommend them to anyone.
